ERTS is based on an easy-to-use scripting language and covers a broad range of cognitive paradigms that rely on collecting subject's reactions to visual and/or auditory stimuli.
Running under MS-DOS, ERTS achieves millisecond accuracy for stimulus presentation, response registration, and event timing. ERTS provides an Intelligent Preload Technique (IPL) that uses an automatic video page flipping algorithm similar to high performance games to realize each image onset within one single screen refresh.
